The surgery went well... Waiting for 2022

It's been a while since I wrote. I had surgery on December 9, 2021. It was a minor surgery, but I was shit scared for it. Cause it had the potential to be major surgery, something about infection near the bones (or inside the bones, etc). Long story short, sounded serious, but once I was cut open it was not.

An MRI scan had revealed some activity 4.5 cm inside the bone. That sounds shit scary and it was. But that was an incidental finding while searching for the real cause of the infection/wound. Ultimately, it was a superficial surgery, so not that big of a deal. I'm still recovering from the surgery, but am already (as of December 25), doing quite well.

Today is Christmas, a day, a week, sometimes a month when I'm rarely home. I love traveling, I love exploring new places. Despite my handicap, I still do. But what's next in my life? I don't know. I still want to travel, it's a lot more effort now, but the joy of watching a beautiful view is almost always worth it.

I don't want to post photos just yet, not comfortable showing my handicapped body out there. I'm confident I will be, but I need to get out regularly before doing that.

Anyways, excited for 2022. Plans include getting fitter, going on at least two holidays in 2022 and saving money. 2023 will be when I will, hopefully, have an international trip again.
